INTRODUCTION


Lackó was born in Budapest where he studies History and Hebrew studies at Péter Pázmány Catholic
University. Since the age of 16, he has volunteered for several NGOs, such as Marom and Dor Chadash. Their aim is to create a modern, meaningful and positive
Jewish identity, among others through creative
programs like Social Action Exchange.







Zsuzsanna (1985) is a PhD student in History at ELTE. In her free time she likes hiking, making experiments in the kitchen and gardening. She is intereseted in  Jewish history and culture as well as green solutions. Although she has no cvil background, she thinks it is time for her to take part in social initiatives.



This is Benjamin but don't be surprised when his friends call him Bence or in various nicknames:). He is 20 and studies at university in Budapest. His main concentration of studies is economics but is interested in various social sciences from gender studies to anthropology. When he's not at school or library, he likes enjoying his time with friends, going out, just walking in the city or reading. He loves meeting new people, learning about other people's thoughts and thinks that it is everyone's duty to make the world a bit better place through community building, mutual understanding and respect toward other cultures. He's looking forward to see the outcome of the Hungarian team's social action and also the Israeli trip where the three groups will meet, share ideas and just have a lot fun together.


Adam Kovacs was born in 1989 and is studying for an IT engineer degree. In addition to information technology, he is  also interested in psychology, and successfully finished the Psychology Assistant course. He enjoys speaking with people, giving advice and helping socially and considers social engagement especially important. This was one of the reasons he signed up for the program.



Gábor Pető is 34 years old and has a foster child. When he was ten years old, he wanted to have his own zoo, so he became a musician and chestnut roaster. His favourite colours are green and blue and its different hues. If he were to have a lot of money, he would go mad, because he's quite lazy and wouldn't do a thing. He loves good music and being quiet in the forest. He hates injustice or what he considers as such. He likes to stir up things, and others like it when he does and hate it when he overdoes it. He wishes you only the best.


Sara is a freelance translator-interpreter and tour guide.She read English at ELTE followed by History with a Jewish Studies specialisation at CEU.She is especially interested in alternative Jewish culture and community, which is not necessarily based on religion.She makes a pretty good alu masala, loves to go swimming and have coffee with friends and often feels there's not enough time for any of these.


Lili(1985) is a philosopher, cultural anthropologist and family therapist-to-be.Since 2007 she specialises in  the research of Jewish identity through upbringing. In her free time she makes narrative and life interviews, and is a volunteer for the Haver Foundation.She is interested in urban renewal, guerrilla gardening and design. Whenever she can, she visits food and flea markets, enjoys balcony gardening and has culinary adventures around her stove. Often, she takes photographs  of her soco-cultural-culinary experiences and blogs.
